At least basic drinking water
Improved source within a 30-minute round trip.
Safely managed drinking water
Improved source on premises, available when needed and free from contamination. A stricter test than basic.
At least basic sanitation
Improved toilet not shared with other households. Shared toilets, common in Ghana, do not count.
Open defecation
People with no toilet facility at all.
